And look who has
arrived! Elisa doesn’t seem very impressed
by the mascot.
Not long after the
arrival of the University mascot Elisa’s neighbors arrived to welcome her to
the neighborhood.
Getting to know
people and raising her charisma level is very important in the architect career
so she takes time to make sure her guests are welcome.
Elisa prepares autumn
salad for her guests.
However it seems that
Carlos the mascot has taken quite a dislike to Gunther Goth!
Carlos starts a
pillow fight.
Then goes in for the
school cheer!
With night drawing in
Elisa says goodbye to her guests and checks the paper for openings in the
Architect career.
She signs up for the
Architect career and now earns $272 per week.
With her new job
starting in the morning she heads to bed.
DAY 2 – MONDAY
The summer festival
has arrived in town, but no time for fun as Elisa is starting on her path to
architect success today. Just time for
breakfast and a bath before heading off to her first job.
Elisa heads off to
meet her first client, Claire Ursine and spends some time getting to know
her. She discovers that Claire loves the
outdoors and is a loner. Right, on with
the renovation!
MONDAY JOB 1
JOB TYPE – Exterior
Makeover
CLIENT – Claire
Ursine
BUDGET - $2,000
BASE FEE - $102
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Doors x 4
·
Windows x 8
Elisa added the extra
windows and doors, changed the colour scheme to match the interior of the
house, added plants, a gnome and a driving range (well square!). Let’s see what she thinks!
Nope she hates it!!
“Overall you did a
terrible job! Did you really think that
makes my house better? Are you just
trying to be mean?”
Elisa left swiftly
for her next job feeling a little embarrassed.
She had worked really hard to make her first renovation perfect and had
failed.
Her next job is for
Geoffrey Landgrab.
Unfortunately
Geoffrey isn’t home so Elisa tries to learn more about the family from his wife
Nancy. Discovering no useful traits
Elisa decides to wing it.
MONDAY JOB 2
JOB TYPE – Book Nook
CLIENT – Geoffrey
Landgrab
BUDGET - $4,300
BASE FEE - $136
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Sofa
·
Bookshelves x 2
·
Coffee Table
·
TV
·
Living Chair
Elisa moved out all
the old furniture, changed the colour of the blinds to match the décor and
added the required items.
Well I like it, let’s
see what he thinks.
After spending most
of the evening waiting for Geoffrey to return home Elisa found that when he did
she was not in working hours so could not complete the renovation. She would have to head back tomorrow.
After a very
unsuccessful day she heads home to bed.
DAY 3 – TUESDAY
Elisa was not looking
forward to her second day at work. The
first had gone so badly and she was behind after finishing the Landgrab job
late.
After breakfast she
headed back to find out what Geoffrey thought of the renovation. He wasn’t happy.
“Overall I think you
did a terrible job! You didn’t spend the
entire budget. Our snobbish Nancy is
going to think it looks cheap. I can’t
believe you did that to my house. I’m
almost too embarrassed to invite other people over now.”
There were a couple
of jobs available for that day so Elisa headed off wondering if she would ever
make it in her chosen career.
TUESDAY – JOB 1
JOB TYPE – Painting
Studio
CLIENT – Agnes
Crumplebottom
BUDGET - $2,500
BASE FEE - $136
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Easel
·
Dining Chair
·
Painting
·
Rug
·
Sculpture
Unfortunately Agnes
wasn’t home when Elisa arrived so she was unable to try and discover her
traits. She took a couple of photos of
Agnes’s garden so she could personalize the renovation. Maybe that would get her a positive review!
Upstairs was what
looked like an unfinished nursery so Elisa sold all the items (I really hope
she doesn’t need that crib!) and redecorated.
She then added all the required items plus a few extra decorations to
use up the budget. She also added the
pictures she had taken of Agnes’s garden.
Resigned to another
failure Elisa called Agnes to tell her the renovation was complete.
She likes it!!
“Overall I think you
did a good job. I love all those hand
crafted objects you used. You did okay. Thanks for trying”
Elisa also received a
$50 bonus and gets to take a photo for her portfolio!
With the visit to the
Landgrabs first thing Elisa’s working day was drawing to a close. Rather than starting another renovation she
headed home. Cooking her dinner took her
to cooking level 1.
Despite her low funds
I got her an easel to help with her job.
It seems people like the hand crafted items and for all their money to
be spent. Elisa would have to remember
that.
Finally she heads to
bed. She has learnt a lot today and
hopefully can use this to improve her renovations.
DAY 4 – WEDNESDAY
A quick breakfast
then heads off to her first job.
Her first client,
Susan Wainwright is home so she tries to learn a little more about her before
getting started. She also takes a few
quick photos to use in the renovation.
WEDNESDAY – JOB 1
JOB TYPE – Gym
Addition
CLIENT – Susan
Wainwright
BUDGET - $4,800
BASE FEE - $136
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Stereo
·
Shower
·
Treadmill
·
Workout Bench
·
Rug
With very little
space available Elisa didn’t know where to start. She set up the gym area in the small garden
out back.
And added a shower
room onto the existing bathroom. As well
as adding those personal photos.
Elisa called Susan
home. She was not completely happy with
her renovation and had a feeling her client would feel the same.
Elisa was right; this
was not a good verdict.
“Overall I think you
did a terrible job! You cluttered things
up quite a bit. I’m not sure how useful
this renovation will be if I can’t get to my new items. This is not at all what I expected. I’m really not happy.”
Elisa swiftly heads
off to job 2.
Her next client isn’t
home when she arrives but after a few garden photos she begins the renovation.
TUESDAY – JOB 2
JOB TYPE – Powder
Room
CLIENT – Monika
Morris
BUDGET - $4,000
BASE FEE - $136
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Sink
·
Mirror
·
Paintings
·
Toilet
·
Shower or Tub
Elisa used the spare
landing space to create a new room. As
well as the required items she also added a few extra décor and personalized
items in the landing area. After the
failed renovation this morning Elisa was hoping for a good result.
And she liked it!
“Overall I think you
did a good job. I love those hand
crafted objects you used. You did
okay. Thanks for trying”
Elisa earned a bonus
of $50 and got to take a picture for her portfolio.
Elisa earned an award
for completing 5 renovations so stops off at city hall on the way home to
collect.
She managed to get
some time to work on her painting.
And then gets ready
for bed.
DAY 5 – THURSDAY – LEISURE DAY
As it is leisure day
there are no jobs available so Elisa concentrates on her painting and reaches
level 2.
With the increase in
painting skill she earns a promotion.
Elisa is now Architect level 2 – Pattern Spotter and earns $336 per
week.
She takes a break
from painting and has some lunch. Before
heading off to the festival.
When she arrives she
chats briefly to Clark Sawyer.
She then rolled the
wish to have a greeting card photo. As I
need all the reward points I can get I sent her off to have one taken.
With the rain taking
a short break Elisa heads off to pick wild flowers to include in her
renovations. Shame she is allergic to
them!
With the day drawing
to an end Elisa heads home to work on her painting skills before bed.
DAY 6 – FRIDAY
Elisa decides to make
pancakes and increases her cooking skill to level 2.
However the arrival
of level 2 had its usual consequences!
Surprisingly her first
job of the day is for Claire Ursine.
Elisa was tempted to reject but in the end headed off to meet Claire.
Claire was home when
Elisa arrived.
Although Claire did
not have any traits to share Elisa did notice the baby girl on the floor and
wondered if she might use this to her advantage.
FRIDAY – JOB 1
JOB TYPE – Exterior
Makeover
CLIENT – Claire
Ursine
BUDGET - $2,000
BASE FEE - $125
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Doors x 4
·
Windows x 8
Elisa added the new doors
and windows but still had loads of the budget left over.
So she converted the
spare bedroom to a nursery and just hoped that that room was not needed! She also added one of her paintings.
Claire was happy with
Elisa’s second renovation.
“Overall I think you
did a good job. So many windows! I’m glad you made it so light and bright inside! Also I absolutely love all those hand crafted
objects you used. You got the job
done. Thank you.”
Elisa got a $50
bonus.
Time for job number
2!
Elisa felt confident
as the taxi dropped her off at Agnes Crumplebottom’s home. Although Agnes wasn’t home she was sure she
could get this renovation right.
FRIDAY – JOB 2
JOB TYPE – Book Nook
CLIENT – Agnes
Crumplebottom
BUDGET - $4,300
BASE FEE - $168
REQUIREMENTS:
·
Bookshelves x 2
·
Living Chairs x 2
·
Sofa
·
TV
·
End Tables x 2
Elisa decided on
converting the alcove in the master bedroom.
She added a half wall to separate the reading area and replaced the sofa
and TV in the bedroom with higher quality items. She also added one of her paintings and the
wild flowers she had picked.
She was sure that
Agnes would like the renovation but when she saw her surveying the master
bedroom her heart sank. She didn’t look
impressed.
But looks can be
deceiving it seems and she was pleased with the renovation.
“Overall I think you
did a good job. I love all those hand
crafted objects you used. I wouldn’t
mind working with you in the future.
Thanks!”
Elisa got a $50 bonus
and a photo for her portfolio.
She also got a
promotion! Elisa is now level 3
Architect – Placement planner, earns $400 per week and can use her portfolio to
obtain clients.
Elisa heads home to
work on more paintings and reached painting level 3.
At last enough reward
points to buy something! I got her
observant.
Elisa managed to burn
her mac n cheese.
Elisa: OMG this is vile!
You burnt it. You eat it.
We also got our first
broken appliance.
Elisa: Call a repairman quick!
Nope. You can fix that little
ole thing.
Elisa: Noooooooo!
Elisa: When I am a big famous
architect I am getting a repairman whatever you say!
Yep, you keep dreaming girlie!
I replaced the bath
with a shower as it was taking far too long for her to bathe!
DAY 7 – SATURDAY
Elisa: I made pancakes without
burning them!
Well done!
Elisa enjoyed her day
off with some painting and reached painting level 4.
With her social low
Elisa calls a few friends to catch up.
She also gets an
invite to Susan Wainwrights party.
The day is soon over
after all the chatting and she only has time for a quick meal before the party.
Apparently some of
the guests were rather offensive!
She spent the night
dancing and mingling, trying unsuccessfully to improve her charisma skill.
It was all too soon
time to go home. Elisa was grateful for
another day off tomorrow as it had been a late night and her bed was calling to
her as she waited for a taxi with Agnes.
END OF WEEK 1
SIMOLEONS - $581
ARCHITECT LEVEL – 3
PORTFOLIO COMPLETION
– 13%
I hope you have
enjoyed the first week of Adventures in Architecture and will join me for week
2 which will be out soon (ish)!!
Hugs and Happy
Simming!

Elisa's hair is awesome, loved week one, I think this could possibly be the hardest career so I'm excited to see her reach the top! ;o)
ReplyDeleteIt takes so long!!! I think that may be why the storytelling is different on them both. I spend so much time in design mode I don't really get to spend time with Elisa, whereas with the acrobat career it was Vivian the whole time so I felt more like it was her story. Weird huh?! Hugs xox
